Hello, and welcome to Royal Blue! My name is Captain Chris Bei and I love fishing!
ABOUT ROYAL BLUE
I grew up with my mom in Mesa, Arizona, and my dad in Los Angeles, California. I started fishing as early as I can remember - that's all my brothers and I did growing up. Bluegill, bass, crappie, carp, and catfish from lakes in Arizona. Mackerel and seabass during the summers off Santa Monica Pier in California. My professional fishing career began at age 17 when I moved to Coosbay, Oregon with my best friend to fish
on his dad's commercial salmon troller. After the season was over, I worked with my uncle, Rick Defeo, one of the best in the world at the time. He ran a 62' Merritt for Don Tyson on the "Tyson's Pride," 
travelling around the globe in search of strictly marlin. I was given the opportunity to work with him as 2nd mate for over a year and my life changed forever. I moved to Islamorada and fished for a living ever since. 
For over 18 years I have mated on some of the best charter boats in the business. I never wanted to be a captain since all the action is on the back deck, but time has moved me upstairs and it is great! I love it more than I ever imagined.
Thanks to my incredible wife and kids, I've been lucky enough to follow my dreams and own a classic 1961 31' Bertram - "Royal Blue" - a fishing machine - incredibly seaworthy, twin turbo diesels, a large cockpit, and all new
tackle - perfect for Islamorada live bait fishing. On Royal Blue we fish for everything - snapper,
grouper, permit, shark, sailfish, dolphin, wahoo, amberjack, swordfish, tuna, and of course, marlin. From beginner to pro-tournament anglers, men, women, and kids. With the 
experience and enthusiasm of myself and my mate, you and your family and friends will have a trip you will not soon forget. I'm very easy going and offer many different trips
- full day (8 hours), 3/4 day (6 hours), half day (4 hours), and evening (shark/ta

Royal Blue is a 1961 31' Bertram Command Bridge Sport Fisherman. This classic boat is known for its large, open cockpit typical of much larger vessels, and its deep-v hull, making it extraordinarily seaworthy. Royal Blue is equipped with 2 Yanmar inboard diesel engines and all new Penn and Shimano tackle.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING:
All we ask that you bring with you is food, drinks, and comfortable clothing and shoes (no boots or black soles, please). The boat takes care of the rest!
